Cool Ways To Prepare Eggs

Eggs are great. They come brimming with amino acids and vitamins, the building blocks to sustaining life itself. Not only this, but they make for some deliciously creative dishes because you can literally do anything with an egg and you’ll end up with a scrumptious meal that makes you feel just great. You can literally mix it with anything and you’ll come up trumps. From frittata’s to omelettes, Mexican breakfasts to French toast, eggs are the culinary all-rounders, the masters of all trades. Even better, they’re as cheap as anything else out there. Fantastic.

They even look cute. Kinda. All I’m saying is, you wouldn’t kick an egg out of bed, would you?

Moving on, the point is that an egg doesn’t have to be just an egg on toast. That’s such a boring, 1950’s way to eat an egg. That’s how grandma ate them but we’ve moved on since the days of 1950 grandma’s. These days, eggs are forward-thinkers and they want you to do something different with them. They want you to spice up their lives and dress them up a bit. Let’s take a look at some cool ways to prepare eggs.

Poached Eggs In Spaghetti Bolognese 

Ever tried cracking a few eggs into the simmering sauce for your bolognese? No? Well then give it a go! This is an excellent way of doing something different with not just your egg, but also your bolognese.

Fried-Egg Sandwich 

Okay, I know we just attacked the egg on toast recipe, but a fried-egg sandwich can be super tasty if you add a few extra ingredients. We suggest sprinklings of rocket and some mayo. Mmmmm.

Fried Aggressively 

Aggressively fried eggs always taste better, yet many of us amateur cooks always refrain and cook ‘em gently. We suggest adding 2 eggs to smoking oil, before covering so that the edges crisp. Serve with ham and cheese and you’re cooking with gas.

Egg Salad 

Not just any egg salad, but the BEST egg salad. This means 4 hard boiled eggs (chopped), mayo, chopped celery, tarragon sauce and red onion.

If you’re extra hungry, put it all on a toasted baguette laced with lettuce. Add mayo for extra taste.

Whiskey Sour 

Okay, technically this is a drink, but it comes with 4 egg whites. You stick these in a blender along with 4 tbsp of syrup, 4 tbsp of lemon juice, 8 oz of bourbon and a single tbsp of lime juice. Blend, pour, and drink.



Frittata should be a cornerstone of anyone’s diet. Why? Because they’re AWESOME?

Egg Pasta 

Make your own pasta by mixing eggs and flour. Knead the dough before cutting it into thin strips. We promise there is nothing like making your own pasta.

To top your pasta off, you could add scrambled eggs and some bacon strips. You’ll thank us for this one.
