Cellucor C4 Review – Muscle Building Supplement Review

All you need to know about Cellucor C4

Introduction

Looking for a new pre-workout supplement? Here’s one product you might want to check out – Cellucor C4 pre-workout supplement. Cellucor is an established name in supplement nutrition, and the products they release are usually a part of a stack. Cellucor claims that C4’s pre-workout formula can improve energy and focus, enhance your endurance, boost your performance, and amplify your muscle strength and power.

Pre-workout supplements are typically loaded with stimulants and nootropics, and that’s pretty much what’s in a serving of Cellucor C4. It contains a load of stimulants that might turn away people who are highly sensitive to stimulants like caffeine. Cellucor C4 is currently one of the most well-known pre-workout supplements. In this review, we’ll take a closer look at the composition of Cellucor C4 to know more about how it works.

Ingredients

Cellucor C4’s ingredients are divided into two major components, Energy and Strength.

Its energy component, dubbed as the Exploisive Energy Blend, is composed of stimulants and nootropics, namely:

  • Caffeine anhydrous (160mg)
  • L-Tyrosine
  • TeaCor Tetramethyluric Acid

Compared to other pre-workout supplements, the caffeine content of Cellucor’s C4 is on the milder side of things. At only 160mg, the caffeine equivalent of Cellucor’s C4 is only equivalent to a tall glass of coffee at Starbucks. It’s combined with an undisclosed dose of tyrosine and Tetramethyluric Acid. Tetramethyluric acid is viewed by some as an alternative to caffeine, and tyrosine is a known feel-good nootropic that can help boost workout motivation and performance.

The energy component of Cellucor C4 is composed of the following:

  • Beta Alanine (1.6g)
  • Creatine Nitrate (1 gram)
  • Arginine AKG (1 gram)

Beta alanine is known as CarnoSyn, and functions as an intracellular buffer to avoid becoming acidic during exercise. In effect, Beta alanine blocks the effects of lactic acid, which produces the familiar burning sensation when your muscles are tired, allowing you to do more intense workouts.

Creatine is like battery for your muscles. Creatine supplies the energy that your muscles need to lift heavier weights and do longer, more intense workouts. Arginine AKG is a vasodilator that allows more blood to flow to your muscles, further increasing strength and recovery.

Effectiveness

We’ll have to grade Cellucor C4 7/10 for its energy matrix. Although the caffeine is on the safe side, it doesn’t do much to influence the workout if the caffeine content is just as strong as a cup of coffee. Tyrosine helps a bit, but only to make you feel good while working out.

As far as the Strength component goes, Cellucor C4 is on the lower end of the spectrum. It appears that they have too much going on in a single dose. It’s also important to note that Cellucor C4 is meant to be a pre-workout supplement, and ingredients like Arginine AKG, Creatine, and Beta Alanine cannot be absorbed in time to be effective during workouts.

Verdict

It seems like there’s too much going on in one serving of Cellucor C4. It’s probably good for people who want to save up on supplementation costs, since you have a little bit of everything in this formula. For those who are more serious in building muscles fast, I would recommend the best supplement for muscle gain, NitroGenix 365 instead.
